Dr. Kuzhikalail Abraham, AG73, is a pioneer in the research and development of rechargeable lithium and lithium-ion batteries. He has authored over 200 journal articles on the subject and secured fifteen patents on lithium and lithium-ion battery materials and performance. His generous donations to the Electrochemical Society led to the creation of the K. M. Abraham Travel Awards, which aid promising students in the field of electrochemical energy by covering the costs of their travel, lodging, and food while presenting papers at the Electrochemical Society symposium.
