1970: Education for REAL Students

The Resumed Education for Adult Learners (REAL) Program was launched at Tufts in 1970 to support adult students seeking to continue their education. Originally meant to provide higher education to women who did not have the opportunity to attend college, the program is now open to any student over 24 seeking a bachelor’s degree. Applicants should have some college experience, including at least two college or university courses taken within the last five years. The program is full-time, provides access to financial aid, and students may concentrate in any of the majors or minors open to Tufts undergraduates in the BA or BS degree programs.
