1899: Premier Dental Education in Boston

Founded in 1868 and acquired by Tufts in 1899, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine has since been committed to offering a diverse, interdisciplinary, and patient-centered educational environment, all while supporting community service and excellent patient care. The Dental School works with the school’s Teaching Clinics and a variety of hospitals and government-sponsored dental clinics to provide students with hands-on learning opportunities. The Dental School offers a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and nine postgraduate certificate programs, giving students the opportunity for additional board certifications.
