A Separate School for Women, Founding Jackson College, 1905-1910

President Frederick W. Hamilton, 1906-1912
Frederick W. Hamilton became President of Tufts in 1905. Within two years, he was strongly advocating for the women of Tufts to be segregated into a separate college. In 1910, the Tufts Board of Trustees voted to form Jackson College.
