Memories of Tufts: Donald J. Winslow (A'34) Remembers

Memories

In the four essays linked below, Donald Winslow remembers the local history of an appliance, the radio, bringing us back to a time when buying a radio set at Tufts in the 1920s was an adventure and when Tufts had place in the development of radio. He recalls being a student at Tufts in the early 1930s and, in a third story, tells of Tufts and non-Tufts related memories regarding WWI and the precursors of WWII. In his fourth contribution, Donald Winslow tells the story of two families, the Winslows and the Russells, whose close links to Tufts translated into close family relations.
