This exhibit documents the life and work of Zella Hurwitz Luria. Professor Luria joined the Psychology department at Tufts University as an assistant professor of Psychology in 1959 and taught at Tufts until her retirement in 2001. Through her award -winning teaching, her groundbreaking research, her personal connections with people, and her tireless activism, Professor Luria's effect on the Tufts community and the wider world was substantial. The photographs, letters, and research material are evidence of her many contributions to Tufts, her deep commitment to her students, and the nature of her unique spirit.
